The South Silver Spring Neighborhood Association, in conjunction with
the Silver Spring Regional Center, is hosting The First Annual SoPo
Block Party!

What You Need to Know:

Where: Kennett St., from Newell to the Kennett St. Garage

Why: Break out of your apartment building and meet your neighbors in South Silver Spring (SoPo)! Let’s start building a community in this new residential area!

Get Involved: The Block party will incorporate elements that everyone can enjoy, creating a very festive, energizing atmosphere. We are looking for people to help in a variety of ways.

• Band/Entertainment Recruitment: musicians, dancers, clowns, etc
• Children’s Play Area: arts & crafts, street artists, games
• Art: local artists and vendors showing off their goods
• Decorations: help decorate the street and solicit local businesses for donations
• Volunteer Coordination: help with logistics, setting-up and tearing-down
