The Washington Post had an interesting article on Monday highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit behind the Hook & Ladder Brewing Co. And the most important sentence: "The company hopes by the end of this year to open a flagship restaurant brewery at a 114-year-old firehouse in Silver Spring." Went past the old firehouse late last week, and there doesn't seem to have been any progress in renovations. >:{
I've noticed that too, although a few times when I've been by at night I've noticed the lights on.
Hey Guys,
I went to Brew at the Zoo yesterday and spoke to the guys at Hook and Ladder. They said that construction will begin next month with a tentative completion date of February of 09 and they hope to be up and running by March. Apparently they had some issues obtaining permits and such.
